World Cup 2015 – Who is in?

As BCCI announces the 15 member squad for ICC cricket world cup this year, there has been a mixed stream of dialects made by various professionals. Some see this as a wrong decision for Indian cricket while some people have appreciated it stating that it’s a right call. Main issue which questioned the sanctity of this decision is “why weren’t the previous world cup heroes included in this squad?”.
The world cup 2015 is to be held in New Zealand and Australia. The Indian world cup squad includes MS Dhoni (Capt), Ajinkya Rahane, Virat Kohli, Shikhar Dhawan, Ambati Rayudu, Rohit Sharma, Suresh Raina, R. Ashwin, Ravindra Jadeja, Ishant Sharma, Axar Patel, Stuart Binny, B. Kumar, M. Shami and Umesh Yadav.

Ravindra Jadeja, a destructive all rounder in Indian squad is suffering from Shoulder injury. Moreover a young face Axar Patel is included in the team. Veterans like Sehwag, Yuvraj, Zaheer, Harbhajan were alienated from the team. Questions are raised on selection committee as Yuvraj Singh continues to perform well in first class cricket, but couldn’t make it through to the World Cup. In addition to it, Zaheer is an experienced bowler of Indian cricket team who knows how to handle adverse situations. Many Indian fans are disappointed as they were expecting their favourites to roll over this world cup. Stuart Binny, an all rounder in team India has been promoted while Robin Uthappa and Murali Vijay didn’t get to make a knock this time.
Event is scheduled to start from 14th of next month and it will last till March 29th. Looking at the flat pitches in Australia and New Zealand, no doubt selectors have opted for their specialist pace bowlers to lead through the bouncy wicket. Ravindra Jadeja is under rehabilitation program and he has been doing well. Team India sustains some budding sparks waiting to lighten-up and for the controversies, let’s see if they can prove them wrong all along.
