Jayalalitha to be out of Jail today?

Jayalalitha

Anna DMK Supremo and Ex Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, Jayalalitha, who is sentenced to four years of imprisonment has moved the High Court for bail. The petition will be heard today, i.e. 7th October, 2014. The ruling chief minister was dethroned due to the sentence in the case of amassing wealth disproportionate to her known sources of income. The historical judgment of pronouncing her guilty came up in 27th September 2014. From then on, she is behind bars and has moved the High Court for bail.

Bail or Jail?

Renowned advocate Ram Jethmalani is presenting the case of Jayalalitha for bail. Along with the Ex-chief Minister, other three co-accused are also seeking bail. Fans of ‘Amma’, as Jayalalitha is addressed in Tamil Nadu, are getting tense by the minute. Despite every channel reporting the quantity of wealth she has amassed during her tenure as Chief Minister, her fans have an unconditional support to the AIADMK chief. They are not ready to accept that she is at fault and want to see her out and relieved of the charges.

In view of the petition being heard today, security has been stepped up around the Bangalore Central Jail, High Court, entire Tamil Nadu and all sensitive areas. Some people have self-declared bundh and are not operating their business. Pooja is being offered by her fans praying for release of their leader. Transportation is also going to be hit. Fingers crossed, the whole country is looking towards Bangalore!
