Ladies and gentlemen fasten your seatbelt, because we are about to witness a glittery showdown at the Varanasi constituency for the 2017 assembly polls. Bollywood star and a prestigious Rajya Sabha member Jaya Bachchan is going to represent Samajwadi party to stand against the Modi wave in Varanasi and Chandauli district.
Jaya Bachchan will reach her destination on January 19 and would take command of the preparation for the assembly polls in two districts. SP high command has transferred this message to the coordinators of the place. District unit chief of SP, Satish Fauji stated that “The official communication of the party has been received. Jaya Bachchan will reach Varanasi to interact with newly constituted district and city committee on January 19. On the next day she will discuss party’s plans with Chandauli unit”. He further added that “During her stay, Jaya Bachchan will meet selected office-bearers and leaders to review party’s electoral performance and also issue guidelines for future preparations in the view of the 2017 assembly polls. Also the number of people participating in the meeting will not exceed 60 as the entry passes will be allotted to each member to avoid chaos”.
Can Guddi counter Modi?
BJP is all set to boost the membership count in this area by introducing Modi in this constituency. No doubt Jaya Bachchan will provide a good competition to Narendra Modi and would emphasize on bringing women power into the campaigns. She has a great persona among the people and her extensive qualities are going to boost the present structure of the party.
SP leaders proclaimed that they have done a lot to bring about a development in these districts but they do not have anyone to pronounce it effectively among the people so that they realize SP’s importance in Varanasi and Chandauli districts. Arrival of Jaya Bachchan will bring a disciplined algorithm in the party with the enhancement of public interaction and party leaders are looking forward to it as a great opportunity for SP to strengthen their base in these two districts.
