As BJP raises its voice on the donation issue, Arwind Kejriwal has now launched a counter attack on the BJP stating that they are ready to face any kind of allegations and investigations. This happened on Tuesday when Kejriwal challenged government that they cannot arrest him. It doesn’t matter which agency investigates the case, they are ready to fight.
“The government is in your hands. All the police and investigating agencies are with you. The CBI, enforcement directorate, IB and IT department are with you. If you have the courage why don’t you arrest me” stated Kejriwal. He accused BJP that they are trying to defame him by imposing false allegations over him before the elections. He further added that they “do not have guts to take action” against him.
Before this, Jaitley accused AAP of getting dubious funds and said that they are caught red-handed. AVAM, a separated group from AAP accused the party of receiving four cheques of Rs. 50 lakh each from sources which were suspicious enough to trigger a controversy. Jaitley referred this case as the “round tripping of black money”. “Prime Minister Narendra Modi called me a Naxalite? He says I should be sent to the jungle. Am I a Naxalite? BJP’s Nupur Sharma called me a monkey? Nirmala sitharaman called me a thief, Kiran bedi called me a toxic. They don’t have the courage … I have done no wrong. Even my worst enemies say that Kejriwal is honest,” Kejriwal added in his defense.
The AAP wrote a letter to the chief justice of India on Tuesday and demanded a SIT probe monitored under the Supreme Court. They also agreed to accept any report that states them as a corrupt party. Narendra Modi also commented on this issue, stating “While big and old congress has ruined the city during its 15 years of the regime, the temporary party (AAP), which is new and small, destroyed it for one year”. Being sarcastic he stated the irony that the party which used to hold the information on the swiss bank accounts of the other doesn’t know about their own donors. This new rapid fire round has elevated the heat in the centre and can be a deciding factor in the Delhi polls.
