Celebrities getting into controversies and making controversial statements is not new. It is uncertain whether they make such statements knowingly or unknowingly. This time the Mr. Perfectionist of Bollywood, Aamir Khan took turn to get involved in a controversial subject.
Aamir khan made a statement that his wife Kiran Rao wanted to shift to another count because of the situations in India. The issue of intolerance beeping up was cited as the reason for Kiran’s concern. This statement made by Aamir got widespread criticism.
Aamir Khan who had got much laurels with his TV Episode ‘Satyameva Jayate’ and lauded India as Incredible India is now calling this country intolerable India. Aamir established himself as an actor and has a fantastic career. He has given super hit movies like 3 Idiots, PK, Taare Zameen Par, Ghajini and Lagaan is now in the middle of a controversy. In many of his movies he has addressed social issues and had given messages on how to handle them. His movies are perfectly made and perfectly tailored, which has earned him the name of Perfectionist. Despite that he went on to make this ‘imperfect’ statement.
His comments has been opposed by many celebrities, politicians and public. It has added to the chaos that the country is already facing. Recently some people have filed case against him in the jurisdictional courts also.
The common man is left wondering whether this is done intentionally to grab some lime-light? For whatever reason it was said, celebrities should better avoid such controversial statements to maintain their status and also for the welfare of the society.
