It tastes simply delicious and spicy with full of irresistible flavors .In this recipe potatoes are added to make a thick and sumptuous gravy.
Since curried chicken defines itself as full of chicken cooked in a variety of whole spices with potatoes in it, so we are already aware of what goes into it and that is CHICKEN AND POTATOES.
Chicken gives the right amount of protein and potatoes are a powerhouse of carbohydrates, vitamin B6, potassium and vitamin C. So a unison of the two in the form of a dish can do wonders to the skin, bones and muscles.

Ingredients for chicken and potato curry
½ kg boneless chicken cut into 1-inch pieces
2tsp ghee
3 cloves
2 green cardamom
5 peppercorns
½ tsp cinnamon powder
1tsp ginger paste
1tsp garlic paste
5 tomatoes grated
1tsp red chilli powder
Salt to taste
1tsp sugar
½ cup fresh cream
Procedure for preparing chicken and potato curry
- Heat the ghee in a pan. Add green cardamoms, cloves, peppercorns and cinnamon .Add ginger and garlic paste and sauté for 2 minutes.
- Add tomato puree and all the spices.
- Add ½ a cup of water and bring to boil.
- Add potatoes and the chicken.
- Close the lid and cook on low flame until the potatoes and chicken become tender.
- Add cream and simmer for 5 more minutes and the spicy curried chicken and potatoes are ready to taste.
Eat chicken and potato curry with rumali roti,naan or rice.
