Pratyusha Banerjee aka Anandi
Another bubbly TV star takes her life! Pratyusha Banerjee, better known as the much loved ‘Anandi’ of the popular soap ‘Ballika Badhu’ committed suicide early morning on Saturday. She was found hanging in her home in the Western suburbs of Mumbai and taken to the Kokilaben Ambani Hospital in Andheri by her boyfriend. She was, however, pronounced dead on arrival to the hospital. All her colleagues were shocked by the news giving rise to speculation on the reasons for her taking such an extreme step.
Was it the work pressure or boyfriend woes? The latter seems to be the likely reason. Rahul Raj Singh was her boyfriend with whom Pratyusha was in a serious relationship. They were planning to get married soon. Then where did things go wrong? Something about their relationship was not right as was apparent from the actresses’ last status message on Whatsapp which read that even in death she would not turn her face away from him. The ‘him’ in the message seemed to point to her boyfriend. Rumors surfaced soon after her death about the serious tiff in their relationship and that Pratyusha was not happy with the way things were shaping out between them. Reports about Rahul Raj Singh slapping her in a mall after a hot exchange of words surfaced while some other sites disclosed that Rahul was meeting his ex-girlfriend Saloni Sharma and this did not go down well with Pratyusha.
