Priyadarshini Chatterjee
This year leaving behind the contestants from metros and other major cities of the nation, Femina Miss India Contestant No. 7, Priyadarshini Chatterjee, from Guwahati made it big at the Femina Miss India World 2016. Priyadarshini has been pursuing modeling in Delhi for a while now and she had already been crowned Miss Delhi. With this big win, Priyadarshini will be representing the country at the Miss World 2016 beauty pageant.
Priyadarshini comes from Guwahati. She is the daughter of Pravir and Papiya Chatterjee born on August 12, 1996. She did her schooling at Maria’s Public School in Guwahati. Later she moved on to Delhi where she enrolled for higher education at Delhi College. It was in Delhi she started off with her career as a model. Thanks to her cheerful nature and undeniably attractive looks, she got noticed in no time and got the limelight she needed. In her interviews, Priyadarshini has mentioned that she looks upon Elisa Raut as her role model. The girl who just about dealt with her teens had tactfully left her relationship status to be a mystery. Priyadarshini takes much pride in her hobbies. She has a special liking for trekking and traveling. She also is a good dancer and is endowed with appreciable theatrical skillset. Priyadarshini is fluent in English, Hindi and in her mother tongue Bengali.
Winners with Shah Rukh Khan
At the Miss India World 2016 pageant Priyadarshini received close competition from Sushruthi Krishna from Bengaluru who had to settle for the first runner’s up. The other beauty contestants who gave her a tough time was Lucknow girl Pankhuri Gidwani who secured her place as the second runners-up in the end.
Priyadarshini was crowned by none other than the Baadshah of Bollywood himself, Shahrukh Khan. The beauty in her interview had already made it pretty clear that she believes in representing her country at the world pageant and is already looking forward to making her people proud. Priyadarshini is a confident girl and apart from bagging the Miss India World pageant, she has also been named some other very interesting titles which are definitive. Priyadarshini has won, Prayag Miss Photogenic, Mobstar Miss Entertainer, Centro Miss Rampwalk and Fbb Miss Talented. The latter was a tie and she shared the title for Miss Talented with Contestant No. 2 Akshita Yadav.
Priyadarshini clearly seems to be the perfect embodiment of the phrase ‘beauty with brains’. ‘Is she good enough for the Miss World?’ – is a million dollar question that awaits an answer.
