Mass Sheershasana by 2000 people makes it to Guinnesse Book of World Records

Bangaloreans made their way to Guinness Book of World Record in a reverse way! Yes, Bangaloreans made the record by seeing the world upside down.

Yoga bandhus of Bangalore created a new record by performing Samuhika Sheersasana for 30 seconds. They broke the record of Chennai people who had made it to Guinnesse book with 648 participants performing Sheersasana on Marina beach. Bangalore’s Powerhouse witnesses 2000 Yoga bandhus performing Sheershasana for 30 seconds.

The event which was organized ahead of International Yoga Day started around 6.30 am with a Yoga Walk followed by Sheershasana in front of Vidhana Soudha which created a record in Guinnesse book. The event which had participants mainly from Sri Patanjali Yoga Shikshana Samiti was joined by few other yoga institutions.

Sheershasana is the Yoga Asana wherein the person stands on his head. This is a posture which activates the brain and helps in easy of flow of blood to the brain.
